This 55 y.o. woman presented with a right upper lip scar.  She had underwent cryotherapy (freezing) of a non-cancerous skin blemish. The resultant scar was unsightly and  caused a "snarl" of the upper lip.

This patient underwent a "Z-plasty," which is shown here.  This procedure is done very comfortably in the office and helps to correct the pull of the scar on the red lip.  The Z-plasty was followed several weeks later by Dermabrasion and Lux1540 Laser Therapy.
