Acupuncture is part of a system of healing called Traditional Chinese Medicine. Practiced for over 2000 years, it also includes modalities such as, herbal treatments, auriculotherapy, Chinese massage and cupping therapy. In our clinic, we also utilize modern therapies, including electrical stimulation, biotherapeutics and kinesio-taping. These treatments can be used alone or as complements to one another.
During an acupuncture treatment, you will lie on a padded table and hair thin needles will be inserted into your body at specific acupoints. If based on your condition, your practitioner decides to recommend other treatment modalities, those therapies will be discussed with you.
Every acupuncture treatment plan is specifically designed for the individual. We will explain your personalized program and what treatment is recommended. Acute or temporary illness may require only a few treatments, while chronic conditions may require several regularly scheduled treatments over several months.
Acupuncture can help with a variety of conditions, including respiratory, musculoskeletal, digestive, gynecological, neurological, skin conditions, anxiety depression, insomnia and stress.
- Acupuncture sessions are $35-$56.50 depending on treatment. If your insurance covers acupuncture, payment will be due at the time of service and you any submit your receipt for reimbursement.
